Nova Cyber Cat on a Hoverboard - Rumi Blocks Stackable Toy

Meet Nova — a bold gamer cat from the future! This modular 3D model blends style, motion, and arcade vibes into one fun urban figure.

The set includes:

• Nova, a fearless cyber-cat character in a yellow tech-coat with bold buttons, a bright red skirt, and a flame-shaped hairstyle. Her sporty headband and confident look make it clear — she’s built for speed, style, and adventure.
• A game controller — her favorite weapon in the battle for pixelated glory.
• A futuristic hoverboard — not just for show, but for seamless jumps between levels and dimensions. It features a magnetic foot-to-board connection, allowing Nova to stand firmly in place while still being easy to detach for dynamic posing and play.

Each piece is easy to print and assemble. The arms are poseable, allowing Nova to hold accessories.

Being a continuation of the collection, it is compatible with other Rumi Blocks sets: the Christmas Stackable Fidget Toys (the hanging hooks at the top of Christmas blocks may not work with certain fidget blocks, but at the bottom it works).

This is a modular, assembly-friendly model. It can be printed without an AMS system on a small home printer. The model is fully detachable, prints quickly, and is easy to assemble. Some parts snap together, while others require a small amount of glue. The Cat’s feet and Hoverboard include built-in slots for magnets - you only need to pause printing, put magnets and continue printing.

The ZIP file contains STL and 3MF files, including prepared files for AMS color printing, single-color printing, and a 3MF file with all the parts for printing the colorful Cat in a disassembled state for assembly.

The model is for private use only. Reselling, sharing, or distributing the files is not allowed.

In general, you can scale these toys up or down to your liking. Just keep in mind that significantly reducing or increasing the size may affect the fit of the connections. I recommend printing them in their original sizes or staying within a range of ±20% from the original size.

Technical Note

After printing you’ll need to gently rotate each arm with a bit of pressure. Just make sure to wait until the model has cooled down a bit. You’ll likely hear a soft cracking sound—it’s nothing to worry about! This is a small ledge breaking off, which helped the arms print properly. This ledge also provides slight resistance when rotating the arms, making them more stable, which is a bonus.

How to Insert Magnets into the Model

You’ll need 4 neodymium magnets, size 5×2 mm, for assembly.
Important: Make sure to match the polarity — the magnets should attract, not repel!

To embed magnets inside the model during printing, you’ll need to pause the print at the right moment — just before the cavity closes from the top. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the model in your slicer (e.g. Bambu Studio).
2. Locate the last layer of the magnet cavity, just before the top is bridged over.
   If your layer height is 0.2 mm:
   • In the legs, this is layer 15
   • In the hoverboard, it’s layer 14
3. Add a pause at the correct layer in your slicer:
   • In Bambu Studio: go to Preview mode → right-click on the layer → Add Pause Print
   • Pauses are already included in the provided .3mf file, but please double-check that they are active before printing.
4. During printing, the printer will pause and move the toolhead aside automatically.
5. Carefully insert the magnets into the cavities using your fingers or tweezers. 👉 Be sure to check the polarity! It’s best to pre-stack your magnets in matching pairs to the correct orientation.
6. Resume the print from your printer’s screen.
