Foo Fighters FanArt Double Sided Hanging Art w/ Stain Glass Effect

The grunge / alternative rock and roll band Foo Fighters became an instant success upon the release of their self-named debut album, Foo Fighters, on July 4, 1995. Nearly 30 years later, their fan base continues to grow in strength and numbers. In celebration of the countless Gen-Xers who've faithfully followed the band and mourned the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022, we present to you this unique Foo Fighter Stained Glass Hanging Fan Art.

It's designed in the same style as our Stained Glass Series (see below) of luminescent indoor/outdoor window and garden decor. It has sturdy front and back s, with ultra-thin (0.32mm) color s inside. The colors print so thin they become translucent, mimicking the effect of double-sided stained glass art.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
There are a total of 4 STL files in the ZIP file. Note the "WHOLE" file is just for display on Cults3D, and is not meant for printing. See images above for instructional pictures to help with assembly. The file names include the colors I used (all in iiiDMAX PLA+ filament). Feel free to change them up as you wish.

• Foo Fighter FanArt - Glass (Red)

Each color piece has been carefully rendered to fit perfectly into the recessed areas of the "Bottom" section. They are ultra-thin and should only print 2-layers thick (at 0.16 Layer Height). This is important to ensure a translucent print, and that light is able to illuminate softly through the other side.

Inserting the colors is like doing a child's puzzle. It is very easy to tell what goes where. Use tiny dots of glue to secure each of these in place.

Next, add glue to the underside of the Top section. Only use tiny dots, but a lot of them for good adhesion. Then line up the Top section over the Bottom and gently press them together. Use clips or clothes pins to hold the pieces together and allow ample time to dry. I like to use fishing line and/or a small keyring to hang them.

Tip: If you're having trouble printing these smoothly, try using Cura's 'Enable Ironing' setting. It takes a little longer to print, but the nozzle will go back over the top layer to smooth it out, just like you would iron clothing to remove wrinkles.
