3D model description
Design is to be printed out in separate parts in the corresponding colors to eliminate the need to paint. This also allows everyone to be able to print this design regardless of what printer you are using.
I am thrilled to have completed this wonderful design, and happy to finally be able to release him. I absolutely loved the new Mario Wonder Game and found the Elephant Mario a real blast to create.
I absolutely loved his fighting stance in some of the reference images I was looking at, and just had to pose my design in a similar stance. When completing the design, I originally forgot to add a tail. So glad I decided to add this cute feature to his backside! Printed out at the original size he stands perfectly along side Donkey Kong, and the two characters Pair so nicely together.
I hope you enjoy this wonderful creation as much as I do.
Printing…
Should be fairly simple, the only parts that require s and the White Gloves.
Assembly…
Should be self-explanatory, but here are some helpful hint to help you along the way.
Dry fit everything in place before adding glue.
I highly recommend PLA Gloop. It has a strong bond that chemically welds to two pieces of plastic together. Applying a few drops to one side then pressing the pieces together for a few seconds works for me. If you have access to PLA Gloop, I highly recommend trying it out.
Starbond Adhesives make a good CA or super glue alternative at a lower price point. I recommend the Medium or Thick formula. I would defiantly pick up some Accelerator if your planning on using the Thick formula.
I tried to divide up the similar parts of the left and right halves with two different keys. Signifying what parts went on what side. The triangle keys can be a bit tricky as one side of the triangle is slightly shorter than the other two, but they all fit perfectly in place when oriented correctly.
The Blue eye parts can easily be mixed up when assembling. If you struggle inserting the blue insert in the white eye, chances are they are mixed up as the correct blue insert should just slide into place with little effort.
The top of the printed Light blue leg décor, signifies the top of this corresponding part. It is possible to flip this around and get it assembled upside down. Just be aware of this when adding the part to the feet.
