• Use glue or 3DLAC for better adhesion.
• Use a 0.4mm nozzle.
• Use a textured PEI sheet.
Print Settings Used:
• Layer height: 0.16mm
• s: On critical overhangs (BE CAREFULL WHEN REMOVING THEM, WATCH OUT FOR SMALL ONES AROUND MULTICOLOR PARTS!)
• Print bed: 256x256mm minimum
• Material: PLA
Assembly Guide:
1. Print all necessary parts. (LED not needed if you don’t want to use LEDs.)
2. Remove ALL s carefully! Some are small and fragile, so handle with caution.
3. Assemble the ‘Stripe Box’ with the ‘M Box’ by sliding both together using the printed rails. Some force is required, but be careful as it is still fragile at this stage. NOTE: Using clear tape between the red stripe part and the white M part may help minimize gaps.
4. Install the optional round 6x2 mm and square magnets into the box parts.
5. Assemble the ‘Stripe Backplate’ with the ‘M Backplate’ by sliding both together using the printed hooks. Some force is required, but no need to be overly cautious here.
6. Install the round 5x2 (or double 5x1) magnets into the backplate and box parts. Watch the orientation!
7. Melt the inserts into both pieces of the backplate.
8. Install the optional LED controller on the lowest spacers. Make your own adapter plate (top) or use a Wemos D1 Uno (bottom). Secure with M3 screws.
9. Install the optional ‘Stripe LED-’ and ‘M LED-’ on top of the backplate using M3 screws. Glue can be used but is not necessary.
10. Install optional LED strips on the LED plate.
11. Assemble by inserting the backplate into the box. They will be secured using the magnets.
12. Place your scale model on top and close it using the Plexibox.
Future Plans:
• Interchangeable platforms with lights: The platforms are not designed YET, but this model is prepared for them. (See cutout at the top and square magnets.)
• Closing piece for interchangeable platforms: Currently, it’s just a hole. A piece can be fitted to close it using 6x2 magnets, but this is yet to be designed.
