Here's an upgraded version of a diorama I made to display my collection of action figures! It is intended for 1/12 - 1/18 scale figures.
I added many pictures with different commercial figures (obviously not included in the files) for referencing scale, size and overall looks.
The grey 3D model pictures show the actual design I'm selling. On the 'real' pictures you'll notice a few slight differences, since when I first printed and painted the prototype model it was less detailed than the final upgraded version I now offer for ing.
I'm selling the STL files of the separate components so you can print and assemble them, as well as a .3mf project file for Bambu Studio with the components already pre-arranged on print plates to save you some work if you intend to print it with a Bambu Lab machine. The assembly is pretty straightforward, the pieces align with each other with tabs, and you can glue it all together with cyano, or any other glue of your choice.
Cyanoacrylate + kicker works the best for such assemblies IMO.
SIZE: 742 x 260 x 303mm (Wide-Depth-Height)
Note that this project was originally designed with an IKEA Billy library in mind, so it's properly sized to fit in those shelves, rather tightly. It leaves just enough of a narrow gap on the top to be able to 'rotate' it in. It also leaves about a 1cm gap on the side so you can more easily dodge the showcase doors and hinges. You may still struggle a bit to fit it in place, but it should be achievable, as I managed to fit mine inside, in one piece, without needing to disassemble the bookshelf doors.
This extra side-space also allows you to store a power bank on the gap to power led strips, in case you decide to implement retro-lit windows, as I did. That said, a Li-Po battery is a fire hazard so for safety reasons I cannot recommend to use a power bank, instead, you'd better make a proper shelves' lighting system that runs off your AC through a decent power supply and LED controllers.
DISCLAIMER: AGAIN, the pictures I share here show the first version of this diorama, so the ed one is slightly different in a few aspects, matching the pictures of the grey 3D. Besides having quite a few extra details, the original print I did featured a depth of 256mm, but the one I'm selling measures 260mm. Also, the SKULLS flanking the windows are NOT included in these files. I used an existing design from MINITERRAIN that you can on his page for FREE!
To fit these skull decorations into my diorama, you'll need to trim the extra piece of column protruding under the lower skull and scale the piece so it measures 97mm tall. You'll need to print 10 of them in total to decorate the window flanks.
