There are hundreds of wireless charging stands out there but none of them were able to accomplish exactly what I needed. My criteria were:
Criteria:
- Charge phone and Airpods simutaneously
- Must be easy as placing my phone down and it starts charging, no finnicky positioning.
- I'm not the kind of guy to drop $200 on a nightstand accessory.
- I need a good place to keep my airpods as I am almost always misplacing them, the airpods must be relatively secure
I designed this to satisfy all of my criteria. There are three "top" plate options for various configurations. This project also evolved into a dual airpod charging stand. You can even create "his and hers" airpod chargers.
Put it in your living room, your kitchen, your desk at work, your bedside table.
Configurations
Config 1: "Regular" sized phone + single airpod case
Config 2: "Plus" sized phone + single airpod case
Config 3: dual airpods charger

Hardware:
Belkin dual wireless charger (currently 50% off on amazon) not an link link
Same wireless charger in black link
- 4x M4 x 16mm socket head screw (if you dont have 16mm, a 20 would work too but the threads will overhang)
- 4x M4 nuts
- 4x M3 x 8mm countersunk screws
- 4x M3 square nuts (I tend to use square nuts with M3 hardware to prevent spinning when tightening)
** NOTE ** For the dual airpod setup, 8 screws and nuts can be used, but 4 is alright as long as they are installed in a diagnal pattern. Feel free to use 8 if you prefer a "complete" look
Printed parts:

Assembly!
Step 1: Installing the Nuts and Positioning the Cable
Begin by pressing the nuts into the designated slots in the Belkin base. Before securing everything, test-fit the assembly to ensure the wireless charger cable is positioned on your preferred side. If the cable is on the wrong side, rotate the Belkin base. There is only one hole for the cable, but the part is designed to be reversible, allowing the cable to exit from either the left or right without the need for mirroring on the printbed. Choose the orientation that best suits your preference.
Step 2: attach the Belkin base piece to the stand first using the M3 hardware.
Step 3: lay the belkin wireless charger into the Belkin base and then use your M4 screws to attach your chosen configuration to the top. Use your best judgement when tighting. Over tightening the top configuration may damage the Belkin wireless charger with too much pressure, screws should be snug, but not overly tight.
Step 4: Complete! make sure to post a picture of your makes here on this page. I love seeing what sort of color combinations you come up with. Please comment suggestions if you have any.
Thank you!
Small edit: Real pictures for the airpods charger are on the way, I only have one of the dual chargers at the moment and I use it in this setup every day. They have been tested and they do work and fit properly
